"In My classes, I like to have fun and not take myself too seriously. Ive had some parents want me to be more formal and disciplinary, but I have to do this every day, several times a day. If I can't enjoy it myself, I'll go nutts!
My philosophy is if I'm having fun, the students will have fun. If they have fun, every time, and they get to learn some Batman level awesome techniques, they will keep coming back.
Discipline comes from the challenge of all the material in each belt level, and the amount of content I cover in class. Because there is so much to learn, I don't have to shout to get the student's attention - they want to hear what I have to say, they don't want to miss whatever is next. When they have questions, I take the time to fully explain until they understand completely."
